Abstract:
The article deals with the phonetic features of the southwestern Bulgarian dialect of Boboshtitsa, reflected in the letters of Andromaqi Koço (a fe male teacher born in the village of Boboshtitsa /Boboshticë/) to the Cana dian-born Bulgarian Larry Koroloff (one of the co-authors of the article), in the period between 1995 and 1999. At the beginning, the authors pres ent the so-far-known research on the Boboshtitsa dialect and especially on its phonetics. Further, they analyze the phonetic features presented in the above-mentioned letters comparing them with previously known data.
