Abstract:
The article examines the efforts of the Republic of Turkey to actively
engage in the infrastructural projects along the Budapest-Belgrade
axis. It presents the idea that official Ankara seeks to balance the
interests of Balkan actors as well as those of China and the European
Union. Critically important in this balancing role is the Republic of
North Macedonia, due to its key geographic location.
